Grade 6 Wonders of the Solar System Research Project
STEP ONE: Explore and decide on a topic.

STEP TWO: Begin to research your topic use any of the three resources below. Take notes by using the two column notes sheet as part of your research

Gale Kids Infobits
STEP THREE: Set up 6 slides in Google Slides. Give your project a name to save and retrieve.
Create a title page (#1) and a Works Cited page (#6)
As you gather information from the resources and write information in your two column notes,
copy and paste the citations or web address under your Works Cited page.
Britannica and Gale Kids Infobits will provide full citations for you. Look for the Cite it link in both; there will
be a check mark at the top of the article in Britannic and a Citation tool link in Gale Infobits.
If you gather information from Fact Monster, simply copy the webpage URL and paste it into you Works Cited Page.
STEP FOUR: After researching and completing your two column notes, add your information, in your own words to slide 2, 3 and 4.
STEP FIVE: Search for images (from any of the reference resources listed above or from Bing) and add 1-2 images per slide.
Copy and paste the image URL to add to your Works Cited page.
STEP SIX: Add a video to slide number 5. (No more than 3 minutes long.)
From the menu, click on Insert and select Video from the list
A new window will open. Search for the content you are looking for or insert the URL of a video you already found.
Once you have found a video, click on Select from the bottom left hand corner.
When you run your presentation in "Present Mode," you will notice a play button that will allow you to play the video.
